I believe the 1990s represented the pinnacle of PC gaming. (To be specific, I'm talking about DOS and Windows stuff here.) These were games pushing the capabilities of technology, free from the limitations of console specs, and free from the expectations of being a console-demographic shared release. These games were often targeted at intelligent adults, since kids weren't putting together complex PC gaming rigs. After the release of the Xbox though, PC gaming has never been the same. Well whatever, in this thread let's revisit the glory days of computer gaming. Give us your personal Top 25 PC games of the 1990s. If you can't do a Top 25, do a top whatever number works for you!

Here's my list. I'm surely forgetting some that I'll addendum later. The list is roughly in order of what I consider best to less best. I was majorly into PC gaming back in the '90s, and I played hundreds of games (shareware and demos were abundant back then). But these are games I actually beat during that era. (A few of these games aren't technically beat-able, in that case I played the heck out of them.) If you want to know why I chose any particular game, I'll explain if you ask:
1. Thief: The Dark Project (1998)
2. Fallout (1997)
3. System Shock 2 (1999)
4. System Shock (1994)
5. DOOM (1993)
6. Half-Life (1998)
7. Star Wars: Dark Forces (1995)
8. The Secret of Monkey Island (1990)
9. Battlezone (1998)
10. Red Baron (1990)
11. Syndicate (1993)
12. Falcon 3.0 (1991)
13. Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire (1990)
14. Rise of the Dragon (1990)
15. Full Throttle (1995)
16. LOOM (1990)
17. Metal & Lace: Battle of the Robo Babes (1993)
18. The Legend of Kyrandia (1992)
19. King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow (1992)
20. Solar Winds (1993)
21. BioForge (1995)
23. Space Quest IV (1991)
24. Scorched Earth (1991)
25. Wolfenstein 3D (1992)
Special Mention: Gorillas (1991)
