Sounds like they took that title literally. And yeah, I'm with Ex, local multiplayer on those games sounds like fun. I know none of us owns a private jet, though.

After getting the World Championship, I think I'll consider this one done. Sunk a good ~5 hours into it between various modes and stuff. It was cool hitting these up again. Revenge is still my favorite due to nostalgia and the killer music. And these are best with friends indeed... so I probably would have played No Mercy to death if I had it back in the day. Think I might check out Kirby 64 next, if it fits the thread a bit.

XeogredYeah I think Kirby 64 counts. It sold well, was well reviewed. Still fondly remembered today. - My gaming time has been 100% eaten up with RDR2, but I still plan to participate in this thread. I'm going to play some classic arcade games I missed. May get around to them this weekend.

Skimming videos of Kirby 64, I get the vibe it's like everything Yoshi's Story wished it could be. And the OST seems stellar per usual.

Now that I'm off my CotM2 kick, I'm looking through potential targets. Might consider finally playing through Ico if nothing else strikes me.

An excellent weekend game right there. Loved it earlier this year.

I believe Sarge you would very much enjoy Ico. Some people say that Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is a spiritual successor, and I remember you enjoyed that one.

Put a nice 2 hours into Kirby64 today. This is definitely a fun charming little game. Think I like it more than Kirby's Dream Land 3 (that one just didn't gel with me much for whatever reason). Dang, all these years later now that I'm not so anti-2.5D, I think it's kind of a rad style and aesthetic when done well like this one. Has me wondering if this is what Klonoa is a lot like too? And the music is off the charts, seriously some of the best coming out of that wacky N64 hardware.
Looks like I just have 3 more planets left. Each have about 3-4 stages and a boss stage, so it does seem like this is a nice breezy platformer.

~3h30m 68% Crystal Shards collected
+ A Cute'em'Platformer. Cozy vibes with a good aesthetic/graphics if you aren't allergic to 2.5D like I assume many were (myself included) in the late 90's. Makes me wonder if this game was that popular back then because it was "old hat" for the time? + Some creative levels and bosses throughout, for a simplistic Kirby + Took me awhile to figure out how you can easily power up an ability twice, giving you even stronger moves + Outstanding OST
+/- Kirby 64 is one of the easiest platformers you'll play. Much like modern Yoshi games, this feels like a beginners game for children around 5. But hey, sometimes some real simple comfort food is fun enough. Kirby64 probably isn't a must play, but if you're a fan of the series and want some breezy 64bit fun over a weekend, this is a solid choice.

Yeah, I used to hate on 2.5D too, but that game looks clean. I don't even mind the cutesiness as it has a surreal quality that I like (from the part of the video I watched, anyway). I don't like the look of most N64 games, but that one is nice.
