Well... it's not a lie, anyway! (And you've got the price for a CIB copy pretty much right.)

At first I thought anayo purchased that before I realized what thread I'm in.
Man, Nintendo's SNES/GBA/N64 boxes were so lame. I think I have Act Raiser CIB from a random $10 purchase at a Gameco one time, then I've managed to keep my Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask boxes intact. Nothing else though. It doesn't help that we moved like 10 times when I was growing up.
Actually, guess I have all my GBA boxes too. But the DS hard cases were finally a nice upgrade.

It delights me to no end that this thread has a reputation now. XD I think I have CIB copies of Star Fox, Flashback, and The Lion King for SNES. And that's it! I wasn't into collecting early enough to affordably get any more than that and I don't have the stomach to try it now. Would be kinda nice to have CIB copies of some childhood faves, though, like Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time.

Add NES to that, too. Cardboard boxes = thrown out in most households. It definitely sucked.
Anything I had with a box that I didn't trade, I still have the box. Except for Zelda II, which I made the mistake of lending to a classmate, and it got tossed by them. Gee, thanks. Learned a lesson there.

Weren't the NES boxes a bit more form fitting to the cartridge at least? (see I sadly have to ASK. Been too long since I've seen those boxes in the wild haha).
I loved those NES dust covers and had plenty of them around though. I may have kept a few from some rentals too... (or at pawn shops if some on open shelves were on a cartridge but not the one I wanted, I'd swap the cover to get it too. In retrospect I guess they probably didn't care for stuff beyond those glass cases, so maybe that was the point).

MAN! When buying a game was a full package. That would be a $120 "Collectors Edition" nowadays.
Back to the boxes, I remember hating the N64 ones way more than the SNES ones. The SNES ones had that centered slot for the cartridge so it all fit together nicely. But the N64 ones had that wacky little cardboard flap to get to the cartridge and the manuals would just have to awkwardly squeeze in on the top.
It's cool that a lot of custom cases exist thesedays now though, for the truly hardcore.
At one point I at least ordered a bunch of double sized jewel cases that could hold 4 discs, so I could refit a lot of my PSX games into mint cases.

I still have all that stuff... except, I think, the plastic bag and the styrofoam insert. But yeah, the RPGs in particular came with awesome stuff. I loved it.
I don't have many N64 boxes. One of the few is Super Mario 64, interestingly, and I can't even really remember how I came by it.
