I do have Prime, and I use it all of the time. Although I share the same feelings, the cost is pushing my patience. And more so than the cost, the having to pay additional money to remove ads in Prime Video is super pushing my patience.
But the White Stripes CD is the only thing out of these above quagmires that has to do with Amazon. And the fault is entirely on the third party seller, not Amazon. This is why I rarely order from third party sellers on Amazon. All of the other problematic purchases were from eBay. Two of them were the seller shipping the wrong item from inventory, and now two of them are the tracking showing the package was delivered to me when it was not.

Ohhh okay, yeah I've had some sketchy experiences from eBay and third party sellers on Amazon.
I feel your pain man. Multiple post offices around my area freaking suck. Always a bad time when I have to go up to one for something.

Man, you are having absolutely zero luck right now! Was getting worried about a package of my own - it's been stuck for days a few hours from me - but it appears to be out for delivery today. Was thinking someone might have stolen it.

seller shipping the wrong item from inventory I just had that problem with a 3rd party seller on Amazon this week. I was able to straighten it out with them, and they sent the right item afterwards, but it's still annoying to have to spend the time to fix the issue. 95% of the time when I buy stuff from Amazon, I buy directly from Amazon themselves as the seller. I only take chances on 3rd party Amazon sellers if they are well vetted. This seller was, but yeah anybody can screw up.

Same here. I pretty much only purchase items sold by Amazon. The only time I buy from a third party seller is if there aren't any other better options AND the seller is well vetted. I actually would have rather purchased this CD from eBay, but when I saw it had Prime shipping I decided to give that a try since I would get it faster. But with the luck I've been having, I'm sure even if I ordered it from eBay there would have been some kind of shenanigans anyway. On that note, I really miss the filter option to only show items SOLD by Amazon. They use to have that, then took it away. Other online retailers that also have third party sellers on their site, such as NewEgg and WalMart, still allow you to filer and show only items sold by that retailer. It's really shitty that Amazon took this away. It doesn't trick me into buying from third party sellers, it just annoys me!
I'm getting closer to maybe pulling the trigger on an original Xbox console, but I'm seriously afraid to right now with all of the recent bad luck I've been having!

That not-so-secret secret about the original Xbox, is that it's really inexpensive to collect for. Some games are getting hard to find by this point. But it seems like most people only want the PS2/GC releases of a lot of third party games from that generation, so you can scoop up Xbox versions for dirt cheap.

I just pulled the trigger on one! Heck yeah man hope it comes with a Duke! (doubles as a boat anchor)

The Duke is... something. I don't think it's quite so bad as its reputation, but I also have larger hands. And I do think it's rather oversized, even with that. The Controller S is a lot more comfortable - if not for that mushy d-pad, it might even be the best controller of that generation.
Also, congrats on getting an OG system! Should be fun to play around with that library, and yeah, the system is quite cheap to collect for. I've got a pretty hefty stack of titles for it, and in general it had the best version of multi-platform games just because the system was so beefy. (Gamecube was also quite powerful, but XBOX still had them all beat by at least a decent margin.)
