Although none of us were calling for this one, maybe all my PSP gaming created a kind of HRG effect that led to this release

Nice. So, My Darling's Embrace was officially localized, on PS4/Switch/PC. That PSP fan translation looks cool though.
It's a decent little experience. Comfort food if you already like Steins;Gate.
Chaos;Head also has one of these "romance" spin-offs, but it's not in English in any capacity.

My Darling's Embrace was officially localized, on PS4/Switch/PC Didn't know that, good that's the case considering the fractured word wrapping of the PSP English version is annoying. Still glad to see another PSP English fan translation regardless.

As a Gundam veteran, there is a LOT going on on that cover art. As in, some of those characters aren't alive or featured within the same story/time frame. Anime wise this is years worth of story stuff in the main UC timeline. I wonder if the story is actually pretty good and worthwhile, filling in some gaps and more context. Never really get to see how Char creates Neo Zeon before the Char's Counterattack movie events. Or I'm overestimating the cool potential here and it's just a bundle of Gundam fan fiction and crossovers that never really happen. (kind of like the Musou Gundam games).

There's a new, complete translation for the SNES beat-'em-up Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou. This game also has a licensed version available from a few years ago by Piko Interactive. The gimmick is that it's goofy and has a weird emphasis on food - each time you defeat an enemy, they drop an ingredient, then between levels you choose a few to make your dinner with and get a small amount of health back. It's below-average though, there's almost no enemy variety, you only fight one or two at a time usually, and they have too much health. So it's quickly boring. On top of that, losing your life makes you restart the whole stage, which is a major sin in a beat-'em-up IMO. One cool idea though is that in single-player, you get a clone of yourself at the beginning of each level that fights on its own. You didn't really see AI allies at the time, so it's innovative at least.

The full restart-stage death is definitely a huge no-no like toei said haha. It's weird how I have seen this game pop up in several "Best/Obscure" YT videos lately actually, so funny timing again with this new updated translation...
