Oh whaaaat? I actually played that one in Japanese for a while, it was pretty fun just running around corridors shooting (presumably) bad guys, but I definitely wanted a translation. In fact, I mentioned this game here in our thread about games that should be fan-translated. That font is ugly and ill-fitting - it looks medieval and RPG-ish somehow - but it's no big deal.
Also, revamp? It does say 1.1, but it seems like a brand-new translation, and I was not aware of any other existing (unless it was released very recently).

Anyone play the game? It's not cheap so I'm on the fence about getting it (definitely one I'd have to get card-only!).

Anyone play the game? It's not cheap so I'm on the fence about getting it (definitely one I'd have to get card-only!). I've played it some. It's a non-linear side-scroller. You run around corridors shooting dudes and opening doors to find NPCs that tell you things and give you items you need to progress. There's some backtracking, but the game is divided into separate levels, so it's not really like Metroid or whatever. Each level is basically a separate mission, story-wise, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna get tied up later on. Combat is slightly janky, but still workable and reasonably fun. The weird thing about it is that when enemies run into you, which can happen pretty easily, it turns your character around. You get a lot of health, and there's a healer in each level, though. There's a password system, and I figure it's probably not super long. The translation seems decent, though there's a dumb PETA reference at the beginning of the second level. Hopefully there isn't much more of that stuff. It's probably not essential gaming, but my first impression is that it's probably worth playing through.

I still don't own a legit PC Engine/TG-16 game. I do have two Super CD games, though. bonesnapdeez: If I wanted to import something cheap and playable without Japanese knowledge, what would you recommend? I wouldn't mind at least having a couple of legit HuCards, even if I do have a Turbo EverDrive.
