I'm surprised you still own this or plan to own it. Ah, Valkyrie no Bouken (Famicom) is the truly wretched one I've ranted about. Valkyrie no Densetsu is the much-improved arcade/PCE sequel. |

Those super colorful Game Gear graphics have a lot of charm for me. Too bad the game itself is probably tedious to play.

Dang, just missed FPDC month... not that it should stop folks from giving it a go! Yeah the little bit I tested of this game after patching it seemed quite nice. Definitely an improvement over the first GG release. |

So the X68000 version of Star Cruiser, the sci-fi RPG/proto-FPS, has also been translated. Apparently it's pretty different from the Genesis version. Some of the dungeons are much longer, some of the characters and events are different, the script is more terse, the graphics are different, and apparently it's a lot grindier. Sounds like the Genesis port is a lot more player-friendly. |
