The first fully complete English translation has released for Majin Tensei (Resurrection of the Demon God)! This is a Super Famicom SRPG released by Atlus in 1994.

1982's Dragon & Princess for PC-88 has been fan translated into English. This is a historically significant game, because many consider it to be the first Japanese-RPG. I'll leave that up to you to decide (or if bonesnapdeez were around he could tell us I guess). More history on this game: |

Mizzurna Falls for the PS1 finally received an English patch.  The game was released in 1998 by Human Entertainment ( Clock Tower) and is one of the first open world 3D games. It often gets compared to Deadly Premonition due to its Lynchian atmosphere and Twin Peaks-like setting and storyline.
