Definitely interesting, though I'm curious whether a truly complete patch will come out. Apparently this one's fully playable but some things weren't done.

Well, apparently that translation is gone. Hopefully some of you guys downloaded it? Either it had some major issues like game-breaking bugs or the person who translated the text wasn't cool with it being made into a patch, I wouldn't know. EDIT: Well, Kotaku says the project was flagged as being incomplete and that “it actually likes to crash quite a lot to a black screen”. Hopefully it'll get fixed/finished. |

The final SNES Kirby game, Kirby’s Super Star Stacker from 1997 has been translated. Never even heard of this one before...

That's a monumental step in the right direction. I see it more as a neat dead end. AI sucks at translating from Japanese because so much needs to be interpreted from context. Nine times out of ten it can't even tell which pronoun should be used. It just defaults to '"I'", even when it should be "he" or "she". |

In time algorithms evolve and AI exponentially improves. For now even baby steps are fine, as long as they are in the right direction.

That's kinda how I feel. At one point, I'd have said no way, but I honestly think that with enough time and processing power, this could potentially work.
