Games lost or regrettably sold over the years?

I had this topic idea floating in my head today and then the current discussion in "Share some memories related to renting games in your youth?" kind of leaned into it too!
How often do you sell or trade games in?
Have you accidentally lost and or misplaced games over the years? (Perhaps in between moving homes or whatnot).
Any other related stories to share?
---------------------------------
1). I've told this one around, but the big one for me was when the N64 came out. I was ready to be done with my Genesis stuff and my family was preparing to have a garage sale, however I was going to be away during it. I can't remember why, maybe went to a camp or spent the night with a friends. So I let my parents make the call on the sales... and oh man. Man on man here we go:
- Sega JVC (extremely rare now), Sonic CD, Ecco the Dolphin CD, Jurassic Park CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic & Knuckles, Ristar, Vectorman, Earthworm Jim, maybe another game or few, two controllers, one six-pad controller...
... my mom sold all of that for $10, IN THE 90's. Yeah I'm still speechless.
2). The next huge regret is when the PS2 came out. Again, I was very young and felt like I was done with the N64, to which I had amassed a nice collection of 30 or so games. I can't even remember what exactly my collection was but it was a lot of good stuff. I sold that huge chunk for Armored Core 2 and maybe a memory card and or controller. Yep. 15 some years later or whatever, I haven't touched my N64 since! I still kept some of my favorites, like CIB gold OoT and MM carts and others, but yeah. The damage has been done.
3). Two regular NES's died on me growing up. I can't even remember what exactly happened to my games, but I guess they were sold at some point. This was easy to recover though and I bought some favorites again. Sadly, I regret not picking up a bunch of Mega Man games when they were still pretty easy and cheap to find. But realistically... I've never wanted to put down enough for a top loader NES and I still don't trust the original toasters in this day and age, so I've never really focused much on building up an NES collection. Most of my favorites are on compilations or accessible elsewhere, along with emulation.
4). My family moved around a lot and in between the moves, I lost all my SNES boxes and manuals, same with the N64. I still kind of wonder if my parents just threw them out. Maybe I'm just an extremely meticulous and organized person, but now as an adult I have a hard time believing the "they got lost" somewhere when that's never happened with my stuff ever since in my later years, despite moving around a lot still haha. Who the heck knows. In fairness it doesn't help that the old Nintendo boxes totally sucked and got squashed easily. I wouldn't even really want them anymore if I had the option anyways.
From the PS2 era and up, I regretted things so hard previously that I became very against selling games. Just didn't seem worth it for the few dollars you'll get on the off chance I might want to revisit something. But I'll never say never, I sold a few new games last year to save some money on a new purchase and I might do away with some regrettable 360/PS3 games at some point to trim things out.
I also had to "recover" a lot of my SNES collection at one point. That one scares me and I still can't figure out how or why I sold some of the stuff I did! I was young and maybe put all my eggs into emulation for some reason. But now my SNES collection is the biggest next to the PSX/PS2 and I have most of the games I'll ever want for it, along with a mint SNES that still works great.
The rarest game I owned as a child that I did mysteriously lose at some point would be... Mega Man Legends 2. Yeah that one really hurts. It thankfully got a digital release on the PSN eventually, but I wish I knew what happened to my original copy!
