I did put thirty hours into Xenoblade 3, still haven't gotten back to it. Will eventually, haha.

I did put thirty hours into Xenoblade 3, still haven't gotten back to it. Will eventually, haha. So you’re still at the beginning of the game? I want to play XB2 and 3 but XB1 took me around 100 hours and I spent around 40 with XBX only to not get past the robot license side quest (it’s tedious) so I hesitate to try them. It’s bad enough when Dragon Quest does it.

For me: Xenoblade Chronicles -73h 47m Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 70h Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country - 39h 54m (100%) cleared credits at 30h 56m 48s Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - 156h 26m (100%) cleared credits at 121h 25m Xenoblade Chronicles X -59h 38m
There is nothing like the 30-40 hour deep XBX mecha license unlock in the rest of the games. But you can see I kind of brute forced X and got through it quick. Bit of a low level run no doubt, it made the final boss seriously tough. In retrospect I kind of wish I spent more time with X actually, it has a unique flavor and the combat was excellent both on foot and in the mecha. Cool skills system. Either way I'd be excited for an X2, because conceptually there was a lot of neat ideas here, they just need to take out the fluff as they did with the evolution of the main trilogy. The reason I 100%'d both Torna and XB3 is because by then, the combat was mindblowing, XB3's is just straight up one of the best combat systems I've ever experienced. And better yet, they got the side quests down so much better compared to the beginning with XB1 and it's millions of "Collect 50 raspberries" crap, lol.
I'm excited to replay XB1 someday with the Switch remaster, but I think I'll still probably go through it quickly and not do the side stuff much.
But yeah, you can beat these games a bit faster than some tend to expect. XB2 is still my favorite in ways, but gameplay wise Torna and XB3 were perfection. Still a huge time sink to play more of these, but I say give them a shot someday if you liked some of XB1 and X.

Below are games beat in 2022 (Spoiler is card images). Ton of great games both new and old. Overall Elden Ring is easily my GOTY.

What an awesome year bosh. Lots of cool stuff there. Looks like you did a deep dive on Hitman or something. Do those hold up? I've been curious about them for awhile and starting with the originals myself.

bosh - Nice to see another Hitman fan on HRG. I've beaten these: Hitman: Codename 47 (PC 2000) Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (PC 2002) Hitman: Contracts (PC 2004) Hitman: Blood Money (PC 2006) I imagine the newer games are more streamlined. The first two games were very challenging.

I’m surprised that you beat XB1 in such a short amount of time! Did you skip side quests? I want to avoid anything that can take more than 70 hours that isn’t Dragon Quest. That said, I do keep eyeing sales for XB2 and 3. They hardly ever go on any meaningful sales, though.

I’m surprised that you beat XB1 in such a short amount of time! Did you skip side quests? Xeogred tends to be a turbo gamer, he's not about smelling the roses. It took me 81 hours to finish Xenoblade Chronicles. I did not use a walkthrough or guide, hardly did any side quests, filled in all maps, and had to grind a LOT at the end. The game's side quests were trash so I didn't care to do them. As a result I was under-leveled at the end.
