I'll definitely say I can appreciate 16/32-bit JRPGs taking more in the range of 25-40 hours to beat on average. Versus PS2/PS3/PS4 JRPGs averaging 45-100 hours to beat. I'm really not sure who the target demographic is especially for these 70-100+ hour long JRPGs. High school kids who can only afford one game every three months? I don't know. You were not lying about Phantasy Star II's crazy high encounter rate. At this speed, it might fall more under a 45-100 hour venture for me. That being said, I'm also grinding SUPER hard. I think my Rolf is either level 16 or 17 and I haven't even made it to Climatrol yet. Also, every member of my team now is at least level 10 or 11 because I like to have options. Also, I level grind while going on long walks cause then I forget that I'm going on a long walk.
