I think that would count as a new game, right? It's not a hack of any of the NES Mega Man games, from what I can tell. (Not that it doesn't look cool.)

Dude yeah it's not a romhack... completely slipped my mind.
I blame the DMV!

Another odd discovery from AGDQ, heh.

So I had tried the mecha SRPG Vixen 357 when the translation patch came out, and after a few hours I'd put it away in disgust due to how slow the gameplay was. The issue was the enemies high defense vs your low offense; every battle dragged on forever because you just couldn't do enough damage. A hack's just come out to address this issue. I don't know whether it's any good, but if it is, it might just save the game from its one crippling flaw.

Interesting. Wonder if there are any tweaks to the official version that Super Fighter Team is putting out?
Part of me hates rebalance hacks because they make things "easier" (gaming chauvinism!), but these days, I just realize some games just sucked in their balancing. I'd argue that's the hardest thing to get right in any sort of RPG.

My problem with Vixen 357 wasn't so much difficulty as pacing. While it's true that balancing a RPG has to be really hard, I've never seen this particular problem to that extent. Maybe you were supposed to level up a few units more than others so they could deal damage? I don't know. I like to keep my team around the same level in SRPGs. It doesn't seem SFT is making any balance changes to the game, at least from anything Brandon Cobb has said about it so far. But we'll see.

I have no idea if someone already posted this, but this might be one of the weirdest and coolest things I've seen. Super Metroid and Link to the Past... combined. You get power-ups from Super Metroid to use in LttP and vice versa. And the items are randomized. Nutty!

Just finished up a couple playthroughs of Castlevania: Overflow Darkness. My complete review is here, but the short version is that if you want a super hard CV1 hack, this one is as good as it gets.
