Quite a milestone I'd say. Happy early birthday my dudes.
And yes... gaming forever! Surely it keeps our focus, reaction time, hand/wrist joints in better shape than the norm. I hope.

My daughter was bored by the mainline "colored" Pokémon games but LOVES the freebie games Pokémon Quest and Pokémon Café. It all looks pretty boring to me.

Back in the DS days, I provided my daughter access to that era's Pokemon games, and she had no interest in them either. She is gen Z, so again wonder if this is a millennial thing. 🤷♂️

inkonbini.com/Do you want to work at a Japanese convenience store in the early 1990s? Here you go.

So it's Chilla's Art's (very good) The Convenience Store without the horror, basically. This is described as a narrative-driven, slice-of-life game, so kind of like that vacation game that was recently translated but centering around a job instead. Depending on how it's balanced, I actually think this could be good. The stories just have to be interesting, and the work part streamlined and gamified enough to be engaging. I will use the opportunity to reiterate that the short part in Shenmue when you worked as a forklift operator in order to get information from the company's employees was actually cool. It was a nice little driving/racing mini-game (especially in first-person view, as it had a sense of speed that way) that people only called bad because of the idea that it's work.

It's probably a good game for the right player, who doesn't mind virtually working at a convenience store. There's likely interesting vignettes throughout the experience. And for Japanese players some tangible '90s nostalgia no doubt.
But I'm not gonna virtually stack shelves and straighten up inventory, run a cash register and mop a floor. There are a hundred other things in a video game I'd rather do than that stuff.

These kind of menial jobs turned into videogames thing seems to be blowing up in recent years. I'm sure you all saw how big Powerwash Simulator got for awhile. Weird that Square published it too I believe.
Recently I've seen one of my favorite female streamers play this one:
There is one game in this type that does kind of interest me, the PC Building Simulator one. But that kind of focus does seem a bit more practical than the norm and maybe a good way to get more of that experience in. But eh, you guys know me. 99% I turn a game on I want to be killing demons. So who knows if I'll ever play it. lol

Not everything needs to be a roguelike.

It's rare I actually like a modern TMNT aesthetic. It looks cool, but yeah not a genre I care for much.
