EasyHard : That's... a lot of title screen hacks. I guess just a bunch of people wanting to practice their hacking skills a bit on a simple project? Two for changing it to the mobile phone naming, one for the GBA title, and one back to the original Japanese. I don't think it is entirely practice, I'm guessing it benefits them somehow... perhaps by bringing their online profile a little extra attention/followers or something. The hacks all date from June & July 2019, and the Collection of Mana compilation released in the West in June 11th of that year.

Things I hate in JRPG's:
- One time steal-able items.
I went on a hunt in FF12 for Diablos and didn't realize I'd fight the first part of the Gilgamesh fight along the way . This first fight was extremely easy so I didn't think it meant much and all the infamous items you're supposed to steal from him were later in the cave for the real battle. Well I was wrong and did enough stuff and saving in between the two fights, that I didn't want to retread back before the first fight. I was able to get the Genji Helm and Genji Armor in the second fight, but missed out on the elusive Genji Gloves accessory from the first... oh well.
Apparently you can still get this in the "Trial Mode", a new thing in the Zodiac Age version. I guess it's a 100 floor gauntlet thing. It apparently makes the base game too easy, since your rewards/exp carry over, so I don't plan to touch it until I beat the game. But the guy that has the Genji equipment is like floor 98. I'm not even sure if I'll care for the mode or want to do it... guess I'll find out.
Long story short, if I were playing the original version here, I would have just permanently missed out on some of the best equipment in the game.

Xeogred According to chibby he gave up on his play through because an enemy stole a valuable item he worked hard to get. He told me it was so discouraging he just put the game away and never picked it up again.

Personally when I played FF12, I was in it for the grand adventure and exquisite exploration, not the odd rare item acquisition.

Personally when I played FF12, I was in it for the grand adventure and exquisite exploration, not the odd rare item acquisition. This is admittedly a bit of a unique case. Having played the original back in the day and never finishing it back then, FF12 was still always loosely on my radar to try again someday. It seemed like for years, I always heard about this infamous Gilgamesh fight and could somehow recall the "Genji Gloves" and equipment always being talked about. So that's why this felt like a big deal to me I guess and I'm ticked about missing some of these items.
Either way though, yeah just been playing the game in my own way and have been getting by perfectly fine with my own equipment/setups like usual. The only spells I finally wanted to look up were Hasteaga and Shellaga, which are in the Great Crystal 2. So I'm not sure if I'll bother to get those or not.

I was about to recommend a cheat device, but you're not playing on PS2. Bet you could have hacked it in with a Game Shark/Code Breaker. I actually ended up doing that with Suikoden V back in the day - I recruited some guys, then forgot when I went back to an older save that I hadn't recruited them at that point, and had locked myself out of getting them. Uh, nope, ain't dealing with that.
Also, seriously, Suikoden V tried to recapture that Suikoden II magic, but it was far too long and involved in recruitment for its own good. Both of the first two games knew how to get the lead out, the first game in particular.
