That's not out of step with current prices, I think. Dreamcast systems have been steadily inching upwards.

Maybe not, but it still feels disingenuous that he would show Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Power Stone 2 in the thumbnail, then in the description he's like, "Oh, by the way, these are repros." That's not breaking any rules, but I feel as if it should be.

Yeah, I gotcha. Those are worth a lot. At least he was honest about it, though! I know some folks that wouldn't be. (But he probably did it that way to attract clicks.)

If someone is up for cleaning/restoring some of that, might be a steal. Especially if the monitor is good.

Yeah, you could definitely put together something nice with that stuff. Wonder what kind of buttons those are? Probably Sanwa or Sanwa knockoffs.

Kinda sad, this one. You can tell the guy had some real gusto and nostalgic impetus. But then real life depleted his willpower. Maybe he had a kid during this project, that would do it.

Not sure if you guys have a separate thread for this, but I wanted to vent about a couple of recent eBay purchases... So I was playing Medal of Honor Frontline, the PS3 remaster. That made me want to fire up the PS2 original, and I was surprised how good it actually looks on my 4K TV (component cables through a RetroTINK 5X). You always read about how the Xbox version of games looked better than their PS2 counterparts. So I was kind of curious, and decided to pickup a copy of Frontline for Xbox since it's cheap enough. I found a listing for a CIB copy and it looks great in the pics, and the seller has good feedback, and it's cheap, so I ordered it. I get it in the mail today and there's stickers on the front and back of the case. And one of those huge used EB games stickers. Also sticker residue from a removed sticker. And two stickers on the front of the manual. And here's the real kicker... The disc is Medal of Honor RISING SUN!!! DOH! I've already emailed the seller and I just got a response from them as I type this post. They apologized and said they must have grabbed the wrong copy when shipping. They will check their inventory for the correct copy, and if they don't have it will give me a full refund and allow me to keep the game. I love when sellers do the right thing! And again, I just got another reply from them as I type this. They said they located the correct copy and will ship it out ASAP, and I can keep Rising Sun. That's cool. So I guess I'll give Rising Sun another go. I use to play the online multiplayer on the PS2 version, but I only ever played the main campaign once. I was also curious to re-evaluate the console versions of the first two Call of Duty games. I never really gave them a fair shake back then, after playing the PC games, so I wanted to pick up Finest Hour and Big Red One for Xbox (again, I haven't owned an Xbox until recently). One of the cheapest listing I found for Finest Hour was a Goodwill seller. Usually I don't care to purchase from those kinds of sellers, since they have generic descriptions they use for every game listing. They usually only have a single pic that doesn't include the read side of the disc, so you never know what you'll get. This listing, the pic of the front of the case looked good. So I decided to take the risk. I got it in the mail today and it's the Platinum Hits version. It's missing the manual, which I figured it would be, but the case and disc look to be in good condition otherwise. But it's kind of annoying that it's the Platinum Hits version when that wasn't what was pictured. Either they stole a random pic online for the listing, or just like the other seller someone grabbed the wrong copy when shipping. I've already messaged them, no reply yet. It wont be the worst thing in the world if I have to keep this copy. But if possible I would like the one I thought I was buying. We shall see.
Anyway, just wanted to rant real fast. It's kinda funny that both of these arrived in the mail today, and seemingly have the same problem. I very rarely have issues when buying games off eBay, so what a coincidence that this happened back to back!
edit: Well, Good Will replied and said (paraphrased) "Sorry, here's a refund, keep the game." I kinda feel guilty ended up with free games like this. But I suppose these errors weren't my fault. And I know these low ticket items aren't worth the shipping cost to return.

Ugh, three in a row! I mentioned above MOH Frontline and COD Finest Hour. I also ordered COD Big Red One, which the tracking says it was delivered in my mailbox yesterday. I was home when the mail came, and it was definitely not delivered. I think I might have had this happen to me once before, where a package tracking said it was delivered when it wasn't but it ended up coming the next day. Like, someone scanned it wrong or something. So I will give it a few days and see. Or, it's at someone else's house!
