Probably worth mentioning - Ninja Gaiden II isn't exclusive to the generation... and yet it is, at least in its original form. The 360 version remains the only non- Sigma version available on any platform, and differs quite a bit from the other releases. There are many (and I think I count myself in this club) that prefer the 360 version to Sigma. Yup. I've played and beaten Sigma II only so far, so it'll be interesting for me to go in reverse. I know the Sigma's are infamous for adding in a lot of extra levels with the female characters. Which is hit or miss (I hard quit NG1 Sigma because the Rachael segments were terrible).
NG2 is the last 360 game I have on my shelf to play, for now.

PSP was a great system, not gonna lie. I put in a ton of time on it. It's absolutely spectacular when hacked - I'd rip my UMDs to a memory card and benefit from those faster load times and better battery life. Too bad Sony had to go with their horrible format on Vita...

You guys mostly covered the main points. 7th gen is decent, though I like most every gen that precedes it better (minus gen 1 lol). Handhelds are king. DS and PSP are probably my favorite handhelds period. Both have their own flaws though. UMDs kinda suck, and I never found stylus controls compelling. As far as the home consoles go, I was mostly into RPGs and platformers as always.
Best exclusives? You're lookin at a huge Dragon Quest IX fan here.

Too bad Sony had to go with their horrible format on Vita... I'm guessing you didn't know about these: www.amazon.com/RGEEK-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter-Playstation/dp/B092QV3QPT/But yeah if you're sticking to the proprietary memory cards, the wallet says OUCH. - I'm with you on DS/PSP being the GOAT handhelds but Best exclusives? You're lookin at a huge Dragon Quest IX fan here. - If we want to define this thread as "Games that are exclusive to the seventh gen and haven't been ported to eighth or ninth gen or PC yet" then I can name plenty more. But I understood this thread as "platform exclusives".

Dragon Quest IX is exclusive to DS though... I know, that's not the WTF part for me. Just surprises me that bonesnapdeez, who's played loads of JRPGs to contrast it against, would think so highly of DQ9. DQ9 is not an awful JRPG but compared to other DQs it is. That's my precious little opinion anyway. If you and Bone love the game, more power to you. I'll never play it again.

I recommend Majin and the Forsaken KingdomI meant to ask you this earlier. I've seen a few reviewers compare Majin to Ico, inferring they were similar and Majin was a sort of spiritual successor. How do you think the two compare?

Aw, it's not that bad! It's not my favorite Dragon Quest on DS (that'd be V), but it's fun even if you ignore all the postgame/multiplayer stuff (which I always have). I like it!
