I like looking at old retro carts both that I own and that others own, so I figured I'd start a general thread where people can post pictures of their systems/setups/games. I also recently was forced to get a new phone, so my phone camera no longer sucks, so I may as well use it, I suppose. I'll start with my copy of Donkey Kong 3. This is from the original eBay listing: As you can see, it comes with a case, which I've found I really like for storing games, so there's not piles of games lying around with dust getting on their contacts or whatever, plus it looks nice on the shelf (shelf not pictures, because I need to do some work on them lol). You'll also notice, of course, that the sticker is absolutely mangled. I ended up buying a replacement off Etsy, because A. this is Donkey Kong 3 and I don't plan to sell it, but even if I did, it's Donkey Kong 3 so I'm not going to make a mint off it and B. it was cheap and turned out great, I think: The sticker is different from the one that was originally on my cartridge, and while Donkey Kong himself is ever so slightly more orange than I'd like him, I think it turned out great. Looks much better this way, at least. Here's a picture of the cart running (the line on the screen is the partial reflection of a window with the blinds closed): ...which also shows a bit of my retro setup. That's my precious 20 inch SDTV with a front AV input and, around back, an S-Video input (which I'm not using for my Famicom, sadly, but I have a switcher hooked up to it now with five other systems attached to it). Also my Switch is next to it, on the left of the SDTV is a small HDTV that I use occasionally to play Switch stuff on TV, but not very often since I usually play that handheld. In any case - post pictures of your retro stuff!

Dude I have that exact same CRT TV in my dork cave! It has great s-video support, I use it for my PS2, GameCube, and original Xbox gaming.
I'll post some classic PC games in this thread at some point, I've got loads of those. Loads I plan to unload.

Oh wow, what a coincidence Ex lol. I love that tv - s-video is so good looking. Do you know how to access the service menu, by chance? I don't have the original remote but if you can access the service menu with the original, I'll buy one on eBay lol. In any case, outside of very few, I have little experience with classic PC games (I basically had Tie Fighter Special Edition and some kids educational games I don't remember very well). But so many of them were so cool looking, so I'm looking forward to those.

The one videogame generation I've never really collected for. I've been given Atari games (and I was given two Intellivisions that I've never used and a few games. I've never even hooked them up, no idea if they even work), but outside of River Raid mainly and a few others, it's all a bit too primitive for me, I'm afraid. Still, cool to see that many games from back then in one place!

I'll post mine when it's eventually not an utter disaster, haha. But my new shelves are friggin' sweet, tons more space for stuff.

Do you know how to access the service menu, by chance? I don't have the original remote but if you can access the service menu with the original I don't know, I've never tried it. But apparently you'd need the remote: riddledtv.com/forums/sylvania-tv-service-menu-codes-t295.htmlHere is the OEM remote on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/174691057096I do have the original remote as I bought my TV new back in 2006 or 2007. But I don't have the paperwork or service manuals anymore.

Messing around in the service menu terrifies me a bit. I've only fiddled with the horizontal/vertical size on my Trinitron.

That's about all I want to do lol. Maybe move the picture to the left a bit. For $10, I'll at least see whether I'll be able to figure that out, so thanks, Ex.

Here's my NES/Famicom stuff: Those are the only games I have boxes for at the top, and no, that's not where I normally keep them, I just wanted them in shot lol. Dragon Warrior III has the manual in there with the cart, the other three Dragon Warriors are cart only. When I started buying NES games again (quite recently), I decided I was only going to get games that I wanted and would actually play. Yes, I like Urban Champion - it's a souped up Game & Watch game, devices which I adore (see below lol). I used to have a large collection of NES games, but I used to basically just buy any NES game I didn't already have - no shade to anyone who does that, but they just take up space and I never use them anyway, so this is what I'm doing now. It's far from complete (for what I want, anyway) of course - I have only one Mega Man game, for example - but it's getting there. My modest Famicom cartridge collection. I'm not sure how many of these I'll end up getting because of that Everdrive, there, along with the one I already have for NES, but I'll probably pick up a few more. Devil World, Kirby, Super Mario USA, and Final Fantasy III are actually CIB but the boxes are not really on display yet. I haven't been able to get into Yoshi's Cookie but it came with my Super Mario USA so I have that, too lol. My beloved Disk System collection! Otocky is actually CIB (and it has a big box with a couple feelies, not pictured because it's not on display now), and Knight's Move is sealed, which is cool but also frustrating because I want to actually play that game lol. Some of these have replacement artwork - Golf, Tobidase Daisakusen, Wrecking Crew, and Kaettekita Mario Bros are all aftermarket stuff, which suits me just fine because I'm not paying what I imagine would be quite a lot of money for a game I can rewrite myself onto some other disk lol. Now for my Game & Watch collection: My pride and joy, as you can tell by the display cases lol. I have all but 7 of the entire Game & Watch line, all some of the most expensive ones (Flagman, Egg, Climber Widescreen, Mickey Mouse Panorama, Super Mario Bros Crystal, Balloon Fight Crystal, and the Super Mario Bros F-1 Race Prize). I've put in the Game & Watch amiibo in there along with some 3D printed bases for the three that don't come with their own base, and the person I bought Balloon Fight Widescreen from on eBay kindly sent along some old ads she had from back in the day, which I've framed and put in there as well. I have the arcade units but forgot to picture two of them, all four are on top of the display cases. Also in there are the Super Mario Bros and Zelda rereleases (as well as Ball from Club Nintendo in 2011) and a boxed copy of Game & Watch Gallery 3 for GBC. I intend on getting the Club Nintendo Game & Watch DS games, which I had at one time, but sold, when I can find a decent deal for them. I also just won an auction on eBay for Bomb Sweeper, an NES repro by the Nintendo Age forums CIB that I'll be putting in there, too, once I receive it. Apologies for being shit at photography.
