Snagged a few PSX games at an antique mall - pretty decent prices after the 50% discount.
- Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - $7.50 - Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus - $10.00 - Hot Shots Golf - $5.00 - Star Ocean: The Second Story - $19.50
Adding taxes I guess around $45. I'll take it!

It would be different to see you beat a golf game.

Haha, I suppose it would. I do enjoy them every now and then.

Bought Lost Planet: Extreme Edition (the first game) and Binary Domain on sale for 4$ CAD each on Steam (so basically 3$ US), and wishlisted Vanquish which was a little more expensive. Those are the three main 3rd person shooters from the PS3/Xbox 360 generation that have caught my attention so far. Lost Planet because of the minor 3rd Birthday staff connection (some of the HexaDrive staff which were contracted as programmers were also programmers on the original Lost Planet when they worked at Capcom), Vanquish because someone here posted a video of it, I think in the PS3 thread I had started a while back, and it looked absolutely insane, and Binary because it's by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

All great games in my book. I'd probably put Lost Planet at the top rank among those.

Ex actually sent me a copy of Vanquish to play. It's great fun for sure.

I do enjoy them every now and then. I'm guessing you beat a Mario Golf entry or two? That I can recall, I've only beaten three golf games in the past ten years; 3D Mini Golf PS4, My Golf 3D android, Major Title 2 arcade.

toei >Lost Planet: Extreme Edition I've not played this yet, but own it on 360. >Binary Domain Beat the 360 version of this. I think it's overrated in general. I gave it a 7/10. >Vanquish This is the best cover-shooter I've ever played, and I've played (and beaten) shit loads of them. I gave it a 9/10. If Vanquish had starred a hot female protagonist, I would have rated it a 10/10. I think you might want to check this one out too: It's an action-WRPG with cover shooting. I beat it on 360 and gave it a 5/10. Most of its players would strongly disagree with my score. I know you enjoy visiting the scholarly roots of genres. With cover shooters consider this one: It's true that Winback is older, but that one's mechanics (like blind fire) are what influenced and shaped the entire genre going forward. Gears of War for example wouldn't exist had Cliffy B not played this game. It sucks that Army of Two and Fuse aren't available on PC.

As in, people think 5/10 is too high or something? Most people hate that game from what I've seen. I kind of liked it. I thought it was hilarious how broken pistol builds were. They were desperately trying to do a Mass Effect kind of thing overall, had some decent writing, but yeah. I would probably only give it like a 6/10 myself.
I loved Winback back in the day. It's not the most addicting thing to sit down with nowadays though. But yeah, it even beat RE4 to the over the shoulder laser reticle targeting as well.
Been meaning to give the sequel a look someday.

WinBack is already on my try list. I'll look into KillSwitch.
