This month has two themes. The first is "Back to 1995", which simply means playing games originally released in 1995 (regardless of initial region). Alternatively, feel free to play horror games that are at least ten years old.
Meaning if you a real G, play 1995 horror games: AAAHH‼ Real Monsters Alone in the Dark 3 Bad Day on the Midway BioForge Castlevania: Dracula X Clock Tower D Dark Seed II Gakkou de atta Kowai Hanashi Hexen: Beyond Heretic I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream Insmouse no Yakata Killing Time King's Field II Phantasmagoria Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday Prisoner of Ice Shivers Silverload Terror T.R.A.X.: Track of the Vampire The 11th Hour The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery
The Dark Eye
(There are surely more 1995 horror games I'm forgetting. If you let me know the ones I forgot I'll edit them into the list.)

Hmm, not sure about 1995 and Horror for me, but 2007's Penumbra: Overture might be a good idea. Frictional Games' humble beginnings and I hear even if someone doesn't like Amnesia The Dark Descent (ie me), the Penumbra's might still be worth checking out.

Yeah I don't think 1995 was a great year for horror games - Clock Tower is significant and all, but I can't get into that run-away gameplay. I would like to play a horror game this month, and I have some good options. It might happen.

Planet Laika or Silent Hill 3. Or Kuon, but SH3 is the one I'd most like to play.

I've waited a lifetime for your SH3 thoughts, hah.
It's honestly rather short too. Maybe too short... we'll talk about that later if you run through it.

I can't binge horror games like I do certain genres, though, cause the atmosphere is too oppressive and you're always on edge, if only because your supplies are limited etc. So at least I know I won't beat it in a day.

Also, definitely play SH3 with headphones. For as good as the sound design is in SH1 and SH2, it's disturbingly amazing in SH3. That whole engine/style from SH2 with the hellscape Otherworld of SH1 back, it's just incredible production wise.

I like how searching YT for some N64 horror games brings up just about zilch. Guess I'm not surprised with its more limited library and Nintendo not being very open to M rated games back then.
