I sense a Genesis Aladdin influence in the level design (even though it's a roguelite, it's the settings, aesthetic and gameplay elements that get arranged at random), but better combat. Looks decent.

I find it interesting that Ubisoft is releasing two different 2D side-scrolling PoP games in the same year. Earlier this year they published Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. With that one they focused on "metroidvania" design, with this new one it's "roguelite" design. So hitting up common indie tropes to reinvigorate the franchise I guess.

Extra odd to me since it sounded like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown didn't sell very well. The marketing didn't seem to be really out there putting in the work though. But you can see the gears revving up for Ubisoft Open World Game #5850499 right now instead (Star Wars Outlaws or whatever).

"Publisher HYPER REAL and Korean developer IKINAGAMES have announced Telebbit, a fast-paced action platformer where teleportation is key. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2024."
Not a fan of the constant jittery/shaky of the video, but the locomotive mechanic of the protagonist could prove interesting.

"Publisher CINEMAX GAMES and developer KO.DLL will release fast-paced side-scrolling platformer BZZZT for Switch this summer, the companies announced."
It's already out on Steam.

Impressive fan game. Apparently he did release another one before called Dreams of Saturn, so it'll probably actually be released.
