Apparently Metroid Dread is getting very good critical reception overall. I can tell who some of the crustier reviewers are, though - there's always a set of folks that if it isn't exactly like Super Metroid, they're not going to like it. And apparently the game is as tough as nails.

And apparently the game is as tough as nails. Good.
You know what I'm doing all weekend.

I think Dread is going to be huge. This feels like the biggest marketing push Metroid has gotten in awhile. I'm also seeing a TON of streamers and whatnot go through Metroid 1-4 recently. I don't recall this level of hype or attention at all around Samus Returns. The power of the Switch will save this franchise.

I figure if you guys say it's good, I'll emulate it in November.

Now that I'm done with Quake Dissolution of Eternity I'm going to play Metroid Dread next. Bloodstained Ritual of the Night put me in the mood for it.

I plan to hit up Dread after I finish Digital Devil Saga. Now that I've flushed Realms of the Haunting, it's back to Digital Devil Saga full time.

Interesting, that looks pretty cool, too. Gonna keep it in mind.
