I didn't like Ys Seven, but I admit I'm a little intrigued about this one now. Ys8 is considerably more advanced and in-depth than Seven, having evolved over Celceta, which evolved over Seven. But I have no idea if you personally would enjoy Ys8. I say that because, I can't recall you enjoying any action-JRPG in this style to my knowledge. Definitely worth trying, though. Would be interesting to see you play an 8th gen game. I'm super interested in seeing what my final completion percentage was. It's not too difficult to get 100% on treasure and exploration. Most of my time got eaten up doing all the sidequests (only missed 1) including Dana's solo stuff, and raising the friendship levels of all the island inhabitants. Also spent a lot of time on cooking and crafting, because Ys8 made doing that stuff super worth it. Maybe this is more like the modern Secret of Mana-esque type of game I've always wanted heh. Honestly, I think Ys8 is more similar to Seiken Densetsu 3 than it is Ys1 or Origin even. - Well I still need to do the bonus dungeon, but since I rolled the credits last night, I considered this one beat.

My last save file has a time of just over 50 hours. According to my trophy list, I got 70% of them, with 100% treasure/exploration, but not all side quests. Don't know more than that without re-installing, haha, but I think we both really, really enjoyed it regardless.
