Are there any 10+ years old games you plan to play this year?
For me I intend to get to these in 2022:
B.L.U.E. - Legend of Water (PS1) - SCUBA diving action-adventure.
Happy Salvage (PS1) - It's a SCUBA diving adventure/VN.
Xak 1-3 (PCE-CD) - Oldschool action-JRPG.
Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner (PS2/PS4) - Mecha action.
I'd also like to beat a NES platformer or two.
What about you?

These days I usually fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to gaming. Whenever I think I'm "going to" play something, I get distracted and play something else instead.
I would like to finish Lemmings. The Amiga original. I've beaten the Fun and Tricky levels but that's the easy part. A good game to pick away at, a level every day or every other day.
I was thinking about hitting up some NES/Fami platformers too. I have yet to finish 8 Eyes, Cocoron, Conquest of the Crystal Palace, The Quest of Ki, Low G Man, and several others. Might play those.

I'm definitely in the "fly by the seat of my pants" category right now, too. But I know I'll find something else to tickle my fancy. Been thinking I need to play some more Neo Geo, and the PC Engine also keeps calling my name. Ex: I really want a Xak I/II translation! bonesnapdeez: I didn't much care for 8 Eyes, but Cocoron, CotCP, and Low G Man are all good in varying ways. |

I really want a Xak I/II translation! I'm tired of waiting so just gonna use a workaround. Ex is going to discover the true power of FRAY Funny thing is that's the one Xak game I have beaten: Conquest of the Crystal Palace is one of the NES platformers I'm considering. According to the internet Yasumi Matsuno was one of the designers of the game. |

Of that list above, I still really want to play TR3 and KF4 for sure. They're still on my mind even before looking at this list again.
I probably jotted Front Mission down thinking of FM3's Emma campaign or emulating FM5. But now those remakes of 1-2 could be temping. I may skip 1 since I beat the DS version, but yeah. That's at least ~3 FM's I still plan to play. Best SRPG series out there.
I have too many options now with FF6...
1. Replay the SNES original with my own new rules, only Terra/Celes/old man/daughter can learn summons/magic. I think that'll make it tougher and more interesting for something I've beaten 10 times. 3. The Pixel Remaster could be neat, but I think they re-balanced all of them to be dooky easy, so I kind of just want to play them for the new arranged music someday. I guess maybe it'll be a good thing they'll be a breeze and easier to blast through? Who knows. FF3 interests me the most, nice to see it get a good 2D remake.
But yeah, FF6's not a huge priority since I've beaten it plenty. I got some more DQ/SMT to hit up...

Xeogred - I would prioritize King's Field IV and Front Mission 5 man. Both super awesome games.

I think what might supersede some of my plans there, is that I really like the idea of playing the PSX version of SMT1 now that the translation dropped and that seems like the ideal version for me to play. I did some massive JRPG's back to back last year, but I don't think I'm up for that idea after Xenoblade 3. So SMT1 looking more like a 20-30 hour bite sized SMT seems really appealing. I got all the DS/3DS games to hit up now, but going back to the original could be neat.

Amazing I forgot about that thread... Armored Core 3 <-Do still want to play. Dark Souls <-Beaten was awesome Digital Devil Saga 2 <-LOL nope Dragon Quest VI (DS) <-Other RPGs I'm more interested in currently. Final Fantasy VIII <-Played and found it boring. Valkyria Chronicles III <-Not feeling the gumption. Metal Wolf Chaos <-Beaten was awesome Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner <-Do still want to play. Eh I don't know, maybe Sarge and bonesnapdeez are right about just playing what "feels" right at the time. |

Dragon Quest VI was great. I enjoyed it a lot more than DQV, which seems to be everyone's sentimental favorite. I mean, I thought it was still really good, but not top-tier Dragon Quest.
