> Where did you buy your Switch?
The first gen one was GameStop (yes go ahead and flog me for that, but everyone else was out of stock.) Afterwards it was either Amazon or Target.
> What's your ratio of playing Switch in handheld mode VS console mode?
With first gen it was 90+% in console mode. With the OLED screen it is near 100+% handheld mode. I've been watching OLED TV prices for awhile and may pull the trigger on one soon--So the ratio may change soon.
Unlike Anayo I've had a good experience with the Pro controller. Fits nice, lasts long, has all the features, and no drift. I'll use it for handheld mode sometimes to relieve my wrists. (I have weak wrists.)
> What was the most recent Switch game you've purchased?
I put int he pre-order for a physical TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. Last one I received was SMT III.
> How many games have you beaten on Switch?
At least 12, but probably more: Zelda: BOTW Cat Quest Titan Quest Disgaea 5 Disgaea 6 Mega Man 11 Octopath Traveler <--highly recommend this one. Rayman Legends Definitive Edition Fire Emblem: Three Houses Mega Man Collection <-- I'm really a sucker for these collections Dark Souls SMT III

Where did you buy your Switch?
My loving wife got it for me of course. Just like she bought me my 3DS and Vita.
What's your ratio of playing Switch in handheld mode VS console mode?
I am almost entirely handheld. Console mode has been for Nintendo Switch Sports and Ring Fit Adventure exclusively.
What was the most recent Switch game you've purchased?
I can't remember the last physical. Digitally it was Gravitar: Recharged, a reboot of the Atari classic (there's a whole series of these, the Yar one is the only one I don't have as it just came out).
How many games have you beaten on Switch?
Again, hard to say. If we count digital arcade stuff, a ton. For physical games, I've run through several VNs and first-party Nintendo titles.

Where did you buy your Switch?
Had to look it up, but I got the Switch through GameStop online, and Breath of the Wild from Best Buy. It was enough of a rush that you pretty much just took whatever retailer you could at launch. What's your ratio of playing Switch in handheld mode VS console mode?
90-95% console mode. I think I played a decent chunk of Xenoblade 2 in handheld mode, but I typically play on a big screen, especially now that I have a better controller. I also think there's a small part of me that prefers to play the game in the most ideal fidelity possible, at least when there's a difference. What was the most recent Switch game you've purchased?
Xenoblade Threeeeeeeeeeee! Haven't played it in a week, though. Been an odd one. How many games have you beaten on Switch?Ooh, a pretty good number. Lemme consult my oracle... - Super Mario Odyssey - Breath of the Wild - River City Girls - Octopath Traveler - Xenoblade 2 - Xenoblade 2: Torna - Mega Man 11 - Smash Bros Ultimate - Link's Awakening - Bloodstained - Panzer Paladin - Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom - Shantae and the Seven Sirens - Hollow Knight - Streets of Rage 4 - Blaster Master Zero 1, 2, and 3 - Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors - Immortals: Fenyx Rising - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Metroid Dread - Blazing Chrome - Alwa's Legacy - Guacamelee! 2 - Kirby: Star Allies - Indivisible - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Mighty Gunvolt Burst - Picross S So I guess I've gotten more mileage out of it than I thought, and there's more I need to finish eventually. This doesn't count some of the emulated games I have like the Contra or Castlevania collections and the like.

How many games have you beaten on Switch?- 13ish (not counting multiple games in one, like the Super Mario 3D Collection, etc)
Astral Chain Blazing Chrome (also beat this on PC. Got on Switch in hopes I'd co-op with it a buddy) Collection of Mana (beat SD3) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Metroid Dread Super Mario 3D All Stars (beat all three) Super Mario Odyssey Super Smash Bros Ultimate The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Yooka-Laylee & The Impossible Lair
Everyone was listing what they beat so there's that.

guy who bought it to play Zelda BotW / his wife made him get rid of it. What a cuck. I can't imagine having such a lopsided relationship. I don't do any online gaming at all. I do love local multiplayer though. I play local with my wife, daughter, niece and nephew, even my brother when he's around (rarely). I do care about that, if it affects internet speed. Insofar as downloads go. I consider a Mario Kart beaten when you've gotten first place in every grand prix, at at least 100cc (normal difficulty AI). I've been watching OLED TV prices for awhile and may pull the trigger on one soon--So the ratio may change soon. Yes OLED is outstanding. I'm planning to get a 4K HDTV for my dork cave next year, I may very well get an OLED. Probably an LG or Samsung. Right now in there I'm using an LCD Samsung from like ten years ago. It still looks great, but it's no OLED. Noted. Picross Lord of the Nazarick Picross SS Picross S2 PICROSS S GENESIS It's interesting to see another Picross fan on HRG. Before you showed up, I'm pretty sure Sarge was the only Picross fan around here. I've messed with a Picross game before on Game Boy, but I didn't know what I was doing and it was confusing. I've run through several VNs and first-party Nintendo titles. Did you play the Link's Awakening remake? Shantae and the Seven Sirens Maybe I'll get that one too. There's so many Shantae games now, I'm not sure which is the best. But if that's the most recent one it should do.
I'm surprised not to see Breath of the Wild in your list. Did you beat it on Wii U? - Thanks for all the replies gentlemen. A few things I've noticed:Looks like all the Switch owners in this thread got a Switch very early on, near release window. That shows a lot of faith in Nintendo, given that the Wii U was kind of a dud. Most people who own a Switch treat it as their primary console. Seems a fair amount of responders don't have a PS4 or XBO. Seems many Switch owners bought a lot of games early on for the platform, but their Switch purchases slowed since. I'm assuming this has to do with Nintendo not releasing many first party exclusives for Switch in a while. Despite the Switch having a portable mode, the majority play it as a console. Seems like the portable mode is more a novelty than a paradigm breaker.

I did indeed beat Breath of the Wild on WiiU. I've heard even after the patches the Switch version got, I think the WiiU version still has better load times actually. Not sure about performance though. Maybe I'll double dip someday, but I definitely want to get Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D World eventually.
Maybe I will get Bayonetta 3 around launch later this year. But I'll probably be skimming videos/reviews of it, I enjoy them but don't LOVE the series like its ardent fans. It does feel like we're nearing the end of the Switch's life though.

I haven't played Link's Awakening on Switch yet. It looks amazing, but I'd like to quickly replay the original first.
I do own it, in any case.

It's fine. Better than Link Between Worlds, Phantom Hourglass, etc, but the original still blows it out of the water with better music and traditional sprites.
I need to replay Minish Cap someday due to some here saying it's great, but I haven't "loved" 2D overhead Zelda since LTTP and the GB/C games. I wish it weren't so and they were better...
3D Zelda's been more consistent to me.

At the time I told myself I'd mess around with the Switch then when I got bored of it in six months I'd sell it. I just never got bored of it. I do still buy a lot of Switch games, but they're mainly physical releases of retro-styled modern games on Switch, like Panzer Paladin, Blazing Chrome, Fight N' Rage, Ninja Saviors, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, etc. I just haven't beat many of them yet. Personally I wouldn't buy a Switch with portable functionality removed. The Switch Lite sold 18.40 million without docked mode, though, so there's that.
