I've seen a dead spot in a PS4 controller, but it's one I didn't handle so I don't know how much abuse it took. Fixed it, though, so that's really all that mattered.

Guess I wouldn't know, I only use the Pro controller. (which I think can get it too, but no issues here so far).

So far, no. The original Joy-Cons are fine, and they were my primary driver for a while.

I've only had drift on the first gen console. My son's Switch Lite, my OLED switch, and my switch pro have never had drift. From what I read it was primarily a first gen issue.
