I gave Shiren 64 (not the actual title) a quick try. I won't play it right away since I just played Katanakami, but I'll be playing it. It's got a nice vibe, unique visuals and great music so far. It's Koichi Sugiyama so it's very Dragon Quest-y, but it's mixed with traditional Japanese instruments to reflect the setting. It's a prequel, as it takes place when Shiren was a child (but already a wanderer). I wonder if there's a single person in the English-speaking world who has an idea what the Shiren timeline is like, haha.

Maybe I'd like the RE2 remake, I've heard good things about it. But then I'm not big into first and third person shooters that much, so I just have basically ignored the series since 4 originally came out on the Gamecube.
Somehow I did not know Koichi Sugiyama worked on Shiren 2 N64. Wild.

I didn't know either, but the Mystery Dungeon games started out with a Dragon Quest spin-off, so there's that connection.

Sunk some more time into Bomberman Hero tonight. Looks like maybe one more session, 60-90min could knock this one out with what I have left. Not too shabby but I definitely far prefer Bomberman 64. So guess I'm glad Second Attack is a sequel to that, rather than Hero.

Bomberman 64 is great! Also Bomberman Hero is pretty good but it's my least favorite of the Bomberman N64 games. Second Attack does play more like the original Bomberman 64, and is probably the best, even if my nostalgia says Bomberman 64 is...
