Anyone want a GOG code for Fallout? Amazon is giving them out, and I already have it. Soon (and for a limited time) you can get Fallout 1 & 2, and Fallout Tactics on Epic Games Store for free. The original Fallout is still the best 2D WRPG I've ever played (and finished). Fallout 2 is not quite as focused, but it offers loads of content. And Fallout Tactics is the best WSRPG I've ever played (and finished). All three of these are incredible experiences for hardcore RPG fans.

I wanted a new backup PS4 Slim. Turns out it's getting hard to find legitimately brand new PS4 consoles (lots of scammers online) but I got a decent deal on eBay for $299 + $34 shipping. The price was for a brand new sealed PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB Jet Black version. Might be weird to see PS4 mentioned on the retro side, but guess what, the PS4 console released in 2013. So PS4 as a platform is eleven years old now. The PS5 is four years old.

I need to look and see if I can repair this PS4 Slim I'm sitting on. The disc drive is dead, but it's also on old enough firmware that I can put CFW on it. I feel like I need to tear it down and clean it out, though - it looks pretty rough.
I'd still like to stumble across a cheap PS4 Pro. But I also figure the PS5 will be an adequate replacement - sure, a few things don't work, but the PS4 catalog is massive and apparently nearly everything does work just fine.

I think it's actually something in the loading mechanism, but I haven't fully disassembled so I'm not entirely sure. I think that the drive isn't as locked down as the 360 one, so I might be able to just get a whole replacement drive. But I may just run without one, too - I could always just download and put it on the machine.

These came from 3 various thrift stores. All were buried in the music CDs. I'm finding that digging through the music CDs for old software is the only way I can recapture the magic of thrifting 15 years ago.

This came from Facebook marketplace, I presume from a collector who was parting with some unneeded things. I have it installed in the weaker of my two Pentium 3 machines now.

Sometimes I miss seeing those green exposed circuit boards, capacitors, and all. Lovely aesthetic. The Voodoo brand was one of the most iconic to me growing up in the 90's. Never had a good PC growing up but always saw those cool huge GPU boxes in stores.

Nice haul anayo , 'specially the flight sims. Lot of late '90s/early '00s PC games focused on the Voodoo, it's well supported during that era.
